The Holy Spirit points us to the heart of God in a variety of different ways. One of the ways we learn about God is through art. The Diocese of Hamilton is lucky to have an illuminated Bible that was produced at Saint John's Abby in Minnesota.


The Saint John's Bible is a hand-written, hand-illuminated manuscript that uses real gold, special ink and even milk in some instances to bring the beauty of the Word of God alive through texture, colour, shape and form.


The story of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit, is one of the illuminations we can see in the Saint John's Bible. Take a look at the image below. What do you see? How does it point you towards God? What do you think God is sharing with you through this illumination?
